Reports & exports
Hand off the claim in the shape it needs
Export the reviewed contents inventory as an Excel workbook or an HTML claim report, or build a claim package: one combined PDF and one Excel file with the claim summary, contents by room, the comparison, ALE, photos and signed documents. Every line keeps its quantity, price, source and totals.
The work is done, the file isn't
Once the inventory is reviewed, someone still has to turn it into a file the carrier can read. That is where the copying starts.
The manual way
- Copy every row into a spreadsheet, then paste each product link by hand.
- Work out tax, room subtotals and the grand total in yet another sheet.
- Collect photos, the comparison and signed forms into one PDF, page by page.
- Rebuild all of it when a price changes the day before the file is due.
With ClaimTime
- Export the reviewed inventory as an Excel workbook or an HTML claim report.
- Each line carries its quantity, unit price, RCV, store and listing link.
- Tax, room subtotals, grand totals and, once applied, ACV are calculated for you.
- Change a line and export again: every file is built from the current claim.
Review, choose, export
- Review the inventory. Exports are built from the claim as it stands: the rooms, items, prices and sources you reviewed in the contents inventory.
- Choose the output. An Excel workbook, an HTML claim report, a claim package, or the PDF or Excel export of a single tab.
- Set the options. Pick the Excel template, include images or leave them out, check the claim's tax state and the letterhead name.
- Download and send. The file downloads and a copy is kept in the claim's export history, so you can find what went out and when.
Look inside the files ClaimTime makes
The Default Excel workbook and a page of the claim package PDF, both exported from the sample claim: every line with its quantity, price and RCV, and in the workbook its age, depreciation, tax, store and listing link.
Real exports of the sample claim. The workbook is shown in a Quick Look preview, which leaves out its embedded thumbnails, so the image columns are cropped out.
What each export contains
Excel workbook, Default template
Business name, logo and grand totals at the top, then claim details and a summary: rooms, items estimated, subtotal RCV, tax and the grand total with tax. Each room lists #, image, preview link, qty, description, category, unit price, total RCV, age, tax, store, link and notes, with DEP % and RCV AFTER DEP once depreciation is applied.
Premium Claim Report
The same items in a teal claim-report layout: a header band, five summary cards (total RCV, tax, grand total, room count, item count), insured, property and claim panels, and room sections with their own totals. It shows replacement cost only, with no ACV columns.
HTML claim report
A report that opens in any browser: your business name and logo, the grand total, claim details and summary cards, then every room as a table or as photo cards. Total RCV, and Age, Dep and ACV when depreciation is applied, with a link to each source.
Claim package
One combined PDF and one Excel file built in your browser from the sections you pick: claim summary with RCV and ACV, contents inventory by room, sketch floor plans, comparison, ALE recommendation, photos appendix and signed documents.
Build the package section by section
Tick the sections you need and ClaimTime builds one combined PDF and one combined Excel file in your browser: a cover with the combined claim value, a list of contents, then each section on its own pages.
The sample claim's Claim package card and two pages of a package PDF made from it. A section with nothing on the claim is greyed out, and structure estimates are coming soon. The photos appendix needs Include photos; photos and signatures go in the PDF only.
Every total, worked out for you
Set the claim's tax state once. The exports add sales tax on RCV and print every subtotal and total, so nobody adds them up by hand.
- Subtotal RCV: $6,784.61 (Nine lines, unit price × quantity)
- Tax: $559.73 (Texas, the claim's tax state: 8.25% of RCV)
- Grand total with tax: $7,344.34 (Subtotal RCV plus tax)
- After depreciation: $5,020.01 (The claim's category rates: electronics 30%, furniture 20%, housewares 15%, books 25%)
- Living Room subtotal: $2,988.62 (Every room gets its own subtotal)
- Sources: 1 per line (The store and a link to its listing)
Pick the template, include the photos
The Export Center sits on every claim. Choose the Excel template, decide whether images go in, then export the claim items as an Excel workbook or the claim as an HTML report. Exports follow the view you have open, so a filtered room or a search exports just those items. A readiness checklist beside the actions shows what is ready: the items, the AI analysis, the review status, the policyholder and property details, and the team.
A printable PDF report, a Word report and photo or document packages are coming soon in the Export Center. Today, the claim package is the way to get one combined PDF.
- Default template, or the Premium Claim Report on Pro plans
- Include images: thumbnails in Excel, photo cards in HTML
- Exports use no Time Tokens
Export the part you're working on
The Overview, Comparison, ALE and Sketch tabs each have an Export button with PDF and Excel. Overview gives a claim summary with the valuation breakdown and contacts. Comparison gives the reconciliation and its gap list. ALE gives the recommendation, housing options and expenses. Sketch gives every room's plan and measurements.
Each file downloads right away and is saved to the claim's export history next to your other exports. On the sample claim, Overview and Sketch have something to export; Comparison and ALE show the button once they have a reconciliation or an ALE set up.
Exports read the whole claim
Nothing is retyped for an export: each file is assembled from the data already on the claim.
- AI contents inventory: Every export starts from the reviewed inventory: rooms, items, quantities, prices and sources.
- Depreciation manager: Applied depreciation adds Dep % and ACV to the Default workbook and the HTML report, and ACV to the package.
- Claim workspace: The comparison, ALE and signed documents on the claim become sections of the claim package.
Questions about exports
Which formats can I export?
An Excel workbook (the Default template, or the Premium Claim Report on Pro plans), an HTML claim report, and a claim package made of one combined PDF and one Excel file. The Overview, Comparison, ALE and Sketch tabs also export PDF and Excel. A printable PDF report, a Word report and photo packages in the Export Center are coming soon.
Do exports use Time Tokens?
No. Time Tokens pay for analysis: one photo, or one line of an imported list. Exporting, organizing and editing use none.
Is sales tax included?
Yes. Set the claim's tax state, and the Excel workbook adds tax per line, per room and in the summary, while the HTML claim report shows the tax and the grand total with tax.
Can I include photos?
Yes. Turn on Include images: the Excel workbook embeds a thumbnail and a preview link for each item, and the HTML claim report shows each room as photo cards. The claim package has a photos appendix, room by room.
Does the workbook show ACV?
The Default template does: DEP % and RCV AFTER DEP columns appear once depreciation is applied, with room subtotals and a grand total after depreciation. The Premium Claim Report shows replacement cost only.
Can I export just part of a claim?
Yes. Exports from the Export Center follow the room, filters and search you have open in the inventory. In the claim package, tick only the sections you need.
Can I put my business name on it?
Yes. Business accounts get their name and logo on the Excel workbook and the HTML claim report, and the claim package takes a letterhead name for its cover.
