For claim teams & firms

Every adjuster, one way to work a claim

Your team's hours are your biggest cost, and the days a claim stays open are what policyholders remember. ClaimTime gives the whole office one workspace: shared claims, roles, tasks and portals, with the same contents structure on every file.

Every adjuster keeps the file their own way

A team multiplies the contents work and the ways it gets done. Without one structure, reviews take longer, handoffs lose detail and no one can see what's stuck.

The manual way

  • Each adjuster builds contents in a different spreadsheet format.
  • Claim status lives in email threads and a tracker that's out of date.
  • Follow-ups sit in personal to-do lists nobody else can see.
  • Policyholder uploads and signed forms are scattered across inboxes.

With ClaimTime

  • Every claim has the same rooms, line fields, sources and exports.
  • Statuses, tasks and a calendar the whole team shares.
  • Roles and workspaces decide who sees and changes what.
  • Portals, documents and e-signatures stay on the claim.

What claim handling costs, in time and payroll

Published figures on adjuster pay, claim cycle times, handling costs and the workforce. They describe the industry, not ClaimTime's results.

  • $37.50 median hourly wage of a claims adjuster (Mean $38.69 an hour; 324,230 employed (May 2025).) [1]
  • 34.7% of total compensation at insurance carriers goes to benefits (So a $38.69 wage costs about $59 an hour, loaded.) [2]
  • 32.4 days from claim to finished repairs, on average, in 2025 (Claims settled within 10 days scored 762 on satisfaction; repairs over 31 days scored 595.) [3]
  • $86.0B spent by U.S. property and casualty insurers on loss adjustment in 2025 (About 9% of earned premium.) [4]
  • -6% projected change in claims adjuster jobs, 2025 to 2035 (With about 21,600 openings a year as people retire or move on.) [5]
  • 400,000+ insurance positions expected to go unfilled as half the workforce retires (An industry projection by the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (2021).) [6]

The loaded hourly cost is ClaimTime's arithmetic on the two BLS figures; percentages of premium are calculated from NAIC's totals.

What contents work costs your team each month

Set your team's numbers: claims a month, items per claim, minutes per line today and to review a drafted line, and your loaded hourly cost. The result is your estimate, not a promise.

See what's stuck before the policyholder calls

Tasks belong to a claim, with an owner, a priority and a due date. The board shows what's in backlog, to do, in progress and done, with overdue work in red, and the same tasks appear on the team calendar.

Each claim's status runs from New to Closed, and its Overview shows readiness steps and what still needs attention, so a manager can see every file without opening each one.

The right people on the right claims

Invite adjusters and office staff by email and give each a role. Owners and Admins add members, change roles and create workspaces; Members work their claims; only the Owner manages billing.

Workspaces group claims by office, region or carrier program, and claims can be shared across them when a file changes hands.

  • Roles with a permission matrix
  • Workspaces for offices or programs
  • More workspaces on Pro, no cap on Enterprise

Portals for policyholders and carriers

On Pro, invite the policyholder and the carrier into the claim. Their uploads and suggested edits wait for your team's approval. See Portals.

Questions from claim teams

How is a team priced?

Basic and Pro are priced per business, not per seat, with Time Tokens at your plan's rate. Larger teams can move to an Enterprise contract priced for their claim volume. See pricing.

Can we control who sees which claims?

Yes. Each teammate has a role, and workspaces group claims so people see the files they work on. Claims can be shared across workspaces.

Do all adjusters' files look the same?

Yes. Every claim uses the same rooms and line fields, with sources, depreciation and ACV, and every export comes from the same structure.

Can policyholders and carriers work in the claim?

On Pro, through the policyholder and carrier portals. They upload, suggest edits, message and sign; your team approves what goes into the claim.

Can we try it before a contract?

Yes. Start with a free account and 50 starter Time Tokens, no card needed, then talk to sales when you're ready to bring the team.
